Our Kenya Experience begins in Nairobi, where participants will take part in ministry activities, community outreach, leadership training, medical missions, worship, cultural experiences, and opportunities to connect with local communities.

Our second Medical Camp will take place in Kisumu. Participants will work alongside the Medical Camp team, while members of the Ministry team will also participate in leadership training and a widow feeding event.

Participants may choose to return to the United States on October 5 or continue to Nigeria for an optional 3-day Nigeria familiarization trip, taking place October 5–8, 2026.

🛬 Welcome & Orientation

Our first couple of days will be hectic, and you’ll likely experience some jetlag. Try to get as much rest on the plane as possible. As we embark on this faith-centered journey, remember the four guiding “Be’s”: Be Sweet. Be Holy. Be Thoughtful. Be Considerate. If you carry these with you, you will Be Fine.

Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya

Participants arriving on different flights who have registered for group transportation are encouraged to arrive as close to 8:00 PM as possible and provide their flight details.

After clearing customs, group transportation will take participants to the hotel.

Relax and recalibrate.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at your leisure and take the opportunity to rest after international travel.

Medical Camp I — Embu

Depart the hotel at 7:00 AM for Embu for the first Medical Camp.

Everyone is encouraged to attend and support the Medical Camp.

Non-medical team members will serve in various areas supporting the medical professionals.

We will also visit the disability orphanage with Dr. Hilda Kivuti, with the time to be determined.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes.

Medical professionals should share their area of training and skills with the designated medical team coordinators.

Breakfast at 8:00 AM.

Depart the hotel at 9:00 AM.

Morning & Afternoon Activities

Hope for Children — Nairobi

Visit the orphanage and school with Pamela Adhiambo.

Superintendent Patroba / Superintendent Boniface

Visit the orphanage and school to learn about their educational program.

Elderly & Widow Food Giveaway

Participate in the Elderly and Widow Food Giveaway from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM.

Leadership Training & Empowerment Session

Nairobi leadership training takes place from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

The schedule includes individual sessions followed by a joint empowerment session led by Supervisor Daniels-Carter.

Depart the hotel at 6:30 AM for a flight to Kisumu.

Participants will begin the day working with the Medical Camp team.

Some Ministry team members will participate in Leadership Training — Session II and the Widow Feeding Event.

Depart Kisumu at approximately 7:00 PM.

A day combining ministry, exploration, shopping, rest, and relaxation.

Safari Tour

Participants attending the Safari Tour at the National Park should be prepared to leave the hotel at 6:00 AM.

The schedule notes that an earlier departure provides greater opportunity to see animals.

Return to the hotel is expected by approximately 2:00 PM.

Shopping

Those choosing to visit the markets will depart for shopping after morning service.

The Medical Team will conduct Medical Camp III in Kajiado.

The day will also include Maasai Ministry and leadership training for Ministry leaders in the Maasai area.

Our Kenya Experience 2026 comes to a close as we begin our return journey to the United States.

We return not simply with memories of places visited, but with the relationships, lessons, experiences, and spiritual growth gained throughout the journey.

We are a group of believers who enjoy traveling, fellowship, and having a great time together.

But this is also a ministry-related journey.

We ask every participant to remain prayerful concerning our primary mission and the opportunity we have to impact lives in a positive and meaningful way.

The Kenya Experience provides opportunities to serve communities, support medical professionals, participate in ministry, encourage leaders, connect with people, and experience the beauty and culture of Kenya.

The Schedule Is Tentative

The schedule is subject to change. Participants will be notified of significant changes.

You Do Not Have to Attend Every Activity

There is no expectation that every participant attend every scheduled activity.

Participants are welcome to move at a rhythm that best serves their well-being.

If you choose not to attend a particular activity, please inform the trip leadership so the team can be assured of your continued welfare and peace.

Comfortable Clothing

Bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You do not need a large amount of dressy clothing.

Comfortable Shoes

Good, comfortable shoes are strongly recommended because several activities involve travel and community outreach.

Insect Repellent

Bring good insect repellent.

Hand Wipes

Hand wipes are recommended for the journey.

Immunizations

Check your immunization requirements well in advance of travel.

The official schedule specifically recommends comfortable clothing, insect repellent, hand wipes, and comfortable shoes.
